    Tonight- Away Meet at River Run

    Marlin Families,

    Tonight is an AWAY regulation meet against River Run. Be sure to have your Marlins shirts and swag ready to wear! With very hot weather expected, please remember to send your swimmer with water and sunscreen so they can stay hydrated and protected throughout the meet.

    Important to note: Our next meet is just around the corner, Monday, June 15th- Please note that declarations for this are due tomorrow, Friday, June 12 at 5:00 PM.

    Details for tonight's meet at River Run:

    Pool Address: 18801 Greyton Ln. Davidson 28036

    Schedule Overview:Arrival: 5:00-5:15 PM
    Volunteer Check-in: 5:25 PM (for both 1st and 2nd shift)
    Marlins Warm Up: 5:30-5:50 PM
    National Anthem: 5:55 PM
    Meet Start Time: 6:00 PM

    Parking: Parking is available in the lot and on River Ford Dr. and Greyton Lane. Two River Run employees will be on golf carts, helping direct traffic and assist in finding parking spots. Please be aware of any directions they are trying to communicate to you.

    Visiting Team Area + Seating: Swimmers from MacAulay will be sitting underneath the sun-shades to the right of the starting blocks. The splash pad, lazy river and water slides will not be open during the pool and we ask that all swimmers stay under the sun shade. Parent seating will be around the pool.

    Snack Bar Concessions: There will be sandwiches, pizza, snacks, ice cream, and drinks provided through the snack bar. We accept cash, debit, credit, and apple pay. Card payments are preferred.

    For the Swimmers:

    • Marlins Set Up: Swimmers from MacAulay will be sitting underneath the sun-shades to the right of the starting blocks.
    • Swimmer Events Assignments: Log into SwimTopia --> Click Schedule --> Click 6/11 MacAulay at River Run - meet entry closed button - review swimmer assignments OR refer to Athlete Report - posted here. Relays will be posted on the Athlete Report/Heat Sheets.
    • Swimmer Arm Markings - Please have your swimmer's arms marked with their events prior to arrival - instructions
    • Swimmer's Uniform - Please ensure all swimmers have their BLUE Marlins swim cap as it is part of the mandatory meet uniform. Swimmers should be in their Marlins swimsuit, a previous Marlins swimsuit or a black swimsuit. Tie backs and tech suits are not allowed.
    • Please be sure to label your swimmer's belongings and team shirts to ensure they are able to gather their correct belongings at the end of the night.
    • We want your swimmers to have fun, but please remind your swimmers to be respectful of the adult volunteers, of their fellow swimmers, of everyone's belongings on the pool deck.
    • Clean-Up: When the meet concludes, please be sure that your swimmer has removed all of their trash and belongings.

    For the Parents/Spectators:

    • Spectator Viewing: Parent seating will be around the pool; please bring chairs.
    • Volunteers - All 1st and 2nd half volunteers should check in at 5:25 PM. There will be a table in the breezeway for volunteers from the visiting team to check in.
    Please review your SwimTopia account to review your volunteer slots. If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer requirement, please remember it is your responsibility to get it covered. Please email macaulaymarlinsvolunteer@gmail.com with any volunteer changes or questions. Any specific volunteer duties will be communicated to you at check-in or by email if necessary.

    Additional Meet Information

    Meet Availability Changes: If your swimmer is unable to attend the meet, please email macaulaymarlinsswim@gmail.com as soon as possible. Please be aware that relays can change up until meet time if there are late changes. Coach Olivia will communicate any last minute changes.

    SwimTopia App - We strongly encourage you to download and login to the app. If you pay for the upgraded membership, you will be notified as soon as the Heat Sheet is available and can view the Heat Sheet on your phone. You will also be able to see live results as they are available.

    Athlete Report/Heat Sheets

    You can use the Athlete Report to find all of the events your swimmer is entered in.

    Heat Sheets can change up until the meet due to last minute changes. Coach Allie or the Junior Coaches will communicate any last minute changes.
